In this study, a mathematical model is developed to investigate pulsatile blood flow through a stenosed artery containing a porous medium under the influence of a transverse magnetic field. An analytical solution to the governing blood-flow equations is obtained. The results indicate that the magnetic field significantly affects the flow characteristics. The axial velocity exhibits periodic oscillations, and an increase in the magnetic number suppresses the flow by reducing the peak axial velocity. It is also observed that higher permeability leads to increased shear stress at the arterial wall. Moreover, the volumetric flow rate decreases as the magnetic number increases, showing an inverse relationship between these two parameters.
